Chief Information Officer – Delaware

La Red Health Center in Georgetown, Delaware, is creating a new leadership role to bring information technology leadership in-house, support a major transition to Epic, and build the technology foundation needed for the next stage of growth.
“La Red” means “the network” in Spanish, which is a helpful way to understand both the organization and the community it serves. Working in partnership with hospitals, schools, nonprofits, government agencies, and other local organizations to help patients receive care and support beyond the walls of a clinic, La Red serves a highly diverse and economically vulnerable patient population, providing integrated care across multiple service lines including primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, and more.
The incoming Chief Information Officer (CIO) should be a leader who understands both the technical side of health information systems and the human side of helping staff learn, adopt, and use new tools well. This strategic and hands-on role also requires a practical understanding of how technology affects patients who may face language barriers, transportation barriers, financial barriers, digital access challenges, or complex care needs.
The CIO will report directly to the center’s CEO and will be expected to work closely with the executive team, clinical leaders, operations, finance, human resources, front-line staff, and external technology partners.
