StayWell Health Center in Waterbury, Connecticut is seeking an experienced FQHC leader and physician executive to succeed a respected long-tenured CMO and guide the next chapter of clinical leadership, quality, safety, and provider development.

As an integral member of the executive team at StayWell Health Center, the incoming Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will report to the President and CEO and work closely with the Board, serving as the center’s clinical authority. The CMO will directly lead more than 35 physicians, advanced practice providers, and specialty providers while collaborating with dental, behavioral health, nursing, operations, finance, human resources, and compliance leaders.

Primary areas of focus for the CMO include clinical quality and safety, provider engagement and recruitment, access and productivity, clinical risk, eClinicalWorks data, and community partnerships. This is an onsite, highly visible position with occasional hybrid flexibility – perfect for someone who can set standards, develop people, communicate candidly, use evidence and connect quality, safety, access, workforce and financial stewardship.
